જૈન દર્શન - નરેશ મદ્રાસી

યોનિ એટલે અજીવ એવા પુદ્ગલ દ્રવ્યનું બનેલું ઉત્પત્તિ સ્થાન. પુદ્ગલ એ વર્ણ, ગંધ, રસ, સ્પર્શ આદિ ધરાવતું અરૂપી પણ અજીવ જડ દ્રવ્ય છે
જીવ દ્રવ્યનું સ્વરૂપ તથા અનેક પ્રકારના ભેદ વિશે આપણે સંવાદ કરી રહ્યા છીએ. આપણી આસપાસ, ચોપાસ, દૃષ્ટિમાં આવતાં ચૈતન્ય લક્ષણ ધરાવતાં કોઈ પણ પ્રકારનાં સૂક્ષ્મ બેક્ટેરિયા, મચ્છર, પશુ, પ્રાણી, પક્ષી, દરિયાઈ મત્સ્ય, મગર વર્ણન કરાયેલાં ઉપરોક્ત કોઈ પણ ભેદમાં સ્થાન પામ્યાં છે. સોયના અગ્ર ભાગમાં રહેલી જગ્યા પર અસંખ્ય બેક્ટેરિયા હોય છે એવું સૂક્ષ્મદર્શક યંત્ર દ્વારા અવલોકન કરીને વિજ્ઞાને સંશોધિત કર્યું છે. જે વિશેની અતિગહન વિચારણા જૈન આગમ ગ્રંથો તથા સૂત્રોમાં કરવામાં આવી છે. જૈન શાસ્ત્રોમાં કંદમૂળ (દૃષ્ટાંત તરીકે બટાટા)નું ભક્ષણ નહીં કરવું જોઈએ એવું દર્શાવવામાં આવ્યું છે, કારણ કે તેના એક શરીરમાં અનંતા જીવો છે. ભીંડા, તૂરિયા, પરવળ આદિ શાકના એક શરીરમાં એક જીવ છે. આધુનિક વનસ્પતિશાસ્ત્ર પ્રમાણે પણ આવાં શાક તથા બટાટા આદિ કંદમૂળના લક્ષણમાં ભેદ છે એવું સંશોધિત કરી શકાય છે. પ્રયોગ સિદ્ધ આ સત્યનો પરિચય આદર્શ જૈનને બાળવયથી જ કરાવવામાં આવે છે. કોઈ પણ પ્રકારની વનસ્પતિમાં જીવ તત્ત્વ હોવાથી તેનું ભક્ષણ કરવાથી હિંસાનો દોષ તો લાગે જ છે, પરંતુ ઓછામાં ઓછી હિંસા થાય અને મનના વિચારો વધુ ને વધુ અહિંસાપ્રધાન રહે એવો આદર્શ અવશ્ય રાખવો.
જીવના ભેદ અનેક પ્રકારે દર્શાવવામાં આવ્યા છે. અતિ સૂક્ષ્મ દૃષ્ટિથી જીવના ૫૬૩ ભેદ જીવ વિચાર નામના ગ્રંથ દ્વારા વર્ણવવામાં આવ્યા છે. દેવ, મનુષ્ય, તિર્યંચ (પ્રાણી) તથા નરકના જીવોના વિભાગીકરણનો વિસ્તાર કરવામાં આવે તો દેવના જીવોના ૧૯૮ ભેદ, મનુષ્યના ૩૦૩ ભેદ, તિર્યંચના ૪૮ ભેદ તથા નરકના જીવોના ૧૪ ભેદ થાય છે અને તેથી સમગ્ર જીવોના ૫૬૩ ભેદ જૈન આગમ સૂત્રોમાં દર્શાવવામાં આવ્યા છે. વર્તમાન પ્રાણીશાસ્ત્ર અને વનસ્પતિશાસ્ત્રમાં વર્ણવેલા કોઈ પણ સજીવ તત્ત્વનું સ્થાન ઉપરોક્ત ૫૬૩ ભેદમાં જ હોય છે.
આ સંવાદયાત્રાના એક વિસામા પર યોનિની વિચારણા કરવામાં આવી છે. યોનિ એટલે ઉત્પત્તિ સ્થાન. જે ધર્મ અને દર્શન, જીવ અને ભવ પરંપરાનો સ્વીકાર કરે છે તે ધર્મમાં એક પ્રચલિત વાત કહેવામાં આવી છે કે આપણે સૌ ૮૪ લાખ યોનિમાં પરિભ્રમણ કરી રહ્યા છીએ. આપણાં શુભ-અશુભ કર્મોનાં ફળ સ્વરૂપ શુભ-અશુભ યોનિમાં આપણાં જન્મ-મૃત્યુ થયાં કરે છે. જૈન દર્શન યોનિના સ્વરૂપ ને ભેદ વિશે સુંદર પ્રકાશ પાથરે છે. સંક્ષેપમાં તેનો સંવાદ કરીએ.
યોનિ એટલે અજીવ એવા પુદ્ગલ દ્રવ્યનું બનેલું ઉત્પત્તિ સ્થાન. પુદ્ગલ એ વર્ણ, ગંધ, રસ, સ્પર્શ આદિ ધરાવતું અરૂપી પણ અજીવ જડ દ્રવ્ય છે. આવું પૂર્વ અધ્યાય દ્વારા વિદિત થયું છે. ઉપરોક્ત વર્ણ, ગંધ, રસ, સ્પર્શ, સંસ્થાન (આકાર)ના કોઈ એકમાં તરતમતા આવે છે ત્યારે યોનિનું સ્વરૂપ ભિન્ન બને છે. વર્ણ એટલે શ્વેત, શ્યામ આદિ પાંચ પ્રકારના રંગ, ગંધ એટલે સુગંધ-દુર્ગંધ આદિ બે પ્રકારની ગંધ. રસ એટલે મીઠો, તૂરો આદિ પાંચ પ્રકારનો સ્વાદ. સ્પર્શ એટલે મૃદુ, સ્નિગ્ધ, શીત-ઉષ્ણ આદિ આઠ પ્રકારના સ્પર્શ. સંસ્થાન એટલે આકાર જે પાંચ પ્રકારના છે. ઉપરોક્ત વર્ણ, ગંધ, રસ, સ્પર્શ, સંસ્થાનમાંથી એકાએક અંગ સંમિલિત કરતાં પાંચ અંગનું એક જૂથ બને છે. શ્રેણી ગણિત પ્રમાણે ઉપરોક્ત વર્ણ, ગંધ, રસ, સ્પર્શ, સંસ્થાનના ૨૦૦૦ વિભાગ બનશે. ગત અધ્યાયમાં જીવના ભેદ, ગતિ (દેવ, મનુષ્ય, તિર્યંચ, નરક) તથા ઇન્દ્રિય (એકેન્દ્રિયથી પંચેન્દ્રિય)ના પરિપ્રેક્ષ્યમાં આપણે સમજ્યા હતા. ગતિ તથા ઇન્દ્રિય પ્રમાણે યોનિની વિચરણા આ પ્રમાણે કરવામાં આવી છે.

• એકેન્દ્રિય પૃથ્વીકાયની યોનિ-ઉત્પત્તિ સ્થાન સાત લાખ છે.
• એકેન્દ્રિય અપકાયની યોનિ સાત લાખ છે.
• એકેન્દ્રિય તેઉકાયની યોનિ સાત લાખ છે.
• એકેન્દ્રિય વાયુકાયની યોનિ સાત લાખ છે.
• એકેન્દ્રિય પ્રત્યેક વનસ્પતિકાય (એક શરીરમાં એક જીવ)ની દસ લાખ યોનિ છે.
• એકેન્દ્રિય સાધારણ વનસ્પતિકાય (એક શરીરમાં અનંતા જીવ)ની ચૌદ લાખ યોનિ છે.
• બે ઇન્દ્રિય શંખ, કોડા, જલો આદિ જીવોની બે લાખ યોનિ છે.
• તેઇન્દ્રિય માંકડ, જૂ, કીડી, ઊધઈ વગેરે જીવોની બે લાખ યોનિ છે.
• ચૌરેઇન્દ્રિય માખી, મચ્છર, વીંછી જીવોની બે લાખ યોનિ છે.
• પંચેન્દ્રિય દેવતા (સ્વર્ગલોક)ની ચાર લાખ યોનિ છે.
• પંચેન્દ્રિય નારકીની ચાર લાખ યોનિ છે.
• પંચેન્દ્રિય તિર્યંચની ચાર લાખ યોનિ છે.
• મનુષ્યની ચૌદ લાખ યોનિ છે.

આમ, સંપૂર્ણપણે ૮૪ લાખ યોનિનું વર્ણન કરવામાં આવ્યું છે. એકેન્દ્રિય સુધીના જીવ વિભાગમાં સૌથી વધુ બાવન લાખ યોનિ માત્ર એકેન્દ્રિય જીવોની છે જે દર્શાવે છે કે એકેન્દ્રિય, પૃથ્વીકાય, અપકાય, તેઉકાય, વાયુકાય, વનસ્પતિકાયનાં ઉત્પત્તિ સ્થાન સૌથી વધુ છે. દૃશ્ય જગતમાં આ યોનિની વિચરણા કેવી રીતે કરવી? આવો પ્રશ્ન અવશ્ય થાય છે. પૃથ્વી પર અનેક દ્વીપ, દેશ, ખંડ, નદી, સમુદ્ર, મહાસમુદ્ર છે. જ્યાં માનવી કે ચોપગાં પ્રાણી નથી ત્યાં જળ અને પૃથ્વી તો અવશ્ય છે. લીલ, ફૂગ, શેવાળ જેવી વનસ્પતિ પણ સ્પષ્ટપણે નિરખી શકાય છે. આપણો અનુભવ પણ દર્શાવે છે કે જ્યાં પાણી છે ત્યાં લીલ, ફૂગ, શેવાળ જેવી વનસ્પતિ અવશ્ય હોય છે. આ સત્ય જૈન દર્શનમાં સુંદર રીતે સમજાવવામાં આવ્યું છે.
આધુનિક માનવ વિજ્ઞાન પણ માનવના મૂળ બીજ પર આધારિત પાંચ વિભાગ સ્વીકારે છે. જે ઇથોપિયન, અમેરિકન, કોકેશિયન, મોંગોલિયન અને એસ્કિમોઝ વિભાગ દર્શાવે છે. આપણે ભારતીયો મોંગોલિયન વિભાગમાં સ્થાન પામ્યા છીએ. જેમ જેમ વિજ્ઞાન વધુ ને વધુ સંશોધન કરશે તેમ તેમ યોનિની વિચારણા વધુ સ્પષ્ટ થશે.
