ValsadIf we look into the historical pages the entry of Parsis in India through the Sanjan port can not be forgot. The Parsi community spread in India after putting steps in Sanjan and their famous religious place “Atash Baheram” the Fire Temple is in Udwada, Paradi taluka of Valsad district. Also there is an ancient Jain pilgrim in Bagwada on the national highway no. 8 near Udwada. Here people keep on visiting continuously. Khed movement was started by Lt. Ishwarbhai Desai in Paradi taluka or Paradi was introduced to the country and the world because of Ghasiya movement. The largest industrial area of the world is at Vapi in the Paradi taluka.

The hill of Parnera of Valsad district, known as the fort of Chhatrapati Maharaj, at a distance of 5 – 6 Km. towards Paradi from Valsad is very beautiful and during Navaratri a huge Atham fair is held here.On this hill thousands of devotees visit the temples of Chandrika Mataji, Kalika Mataji, Hanumanji and Lord Shankar for holy purposes.
