Manpuri Maharaj Temple
Gambhu is a small town having population of
Around 5,000 people and is a taluka head quarter of Becharaji, district
Mehsana, Gujarat. The legendary shore temple of shree manpuriji Maharaj is
located near Modhera sun temple.

Contemplation of Manpuriji Maharaj:-
There was a Religious occasion (dinner was given
to sadhu) in Siddhpur, many saints are invited. Ghee was loosening. So the
pandit urged to manpuri for ghee. He told that he could take ‘ghee’ from his
well and returned ghee to the well.
Pandit want to the well and took out ghee with
budget, water was turned into ghee. Pandit returned ‘ghee’ but manpuri maharaj
was disappeared from there. He came to gambhu and decided to suit in
meditation. He called his follower and asked then for promise.
First promise asked to babubhai manabhai, asked
for a boou that he would he wealthy and prosperous. Second asked to Rabari
commented demanded that my successor would be Lempel. Third promise asked to
nayi family also commented in an ironical taunt. And last promise asked to
chopada Patel was much obtunded to sit in contemplation with manpuriji but the
saint cursed him and said that would not be your heritage. Above four people is
connected to manpuriji maharaj.
After contemplation the saint reappeared before
babubhai and worked whole day in the field. While returning home babubhai knows
that manpuriji maharaj has sat in contemplation. There were four disciple of
guru siddhnath. Among than manpuriji maharaj in gambhu, Amarpuri in paloj,
khetpuri in kamana and umedpuri in saduthala (Visnagar)
Today, we can see the throne of saint and fire
pit in the Jain temple. Today, there is a small temple of manpuriji maharaj.
People believed in his miracle. If buffalo does not give milk, they will take
vow and buffalo will be recovered.

Reach This Temple:-
Nearest bus stop is Mehsana 25 K.m, also railway
station. You can way from modhera chokdi via modhera sun temple road and stop
the ganeshpura patiya village, to right hand side ganeshpura to gambhu Distance
is 3 k.m.
The nearest Airport is Ahmedabad City 100 k.m
